Former 2nd Ward Alderman Bob Fioretti is running for Cook County State’s Attorney as a Republican. He says he’s worried Chicago will go the way of Baltimore and San Francisco. Fioretti is no stranger to Illinois and Chicago politics, he served as an alderman for two terms, previously ran for mayor, Cook County Board President, and the Illinois Senate. Also running former appellate court justice Eileen O’Neill Burke. Current Cook County States attorney Kim Foxx is not seeking reelection.
